Why not join with us in our "Big Sow" project for 2010?

 

We hope, through this project, to recapture something of the community feel of the harvest celebrations of bygone years. Seeds are currently being distributed, free of charge, which we invite you to grow and nurture throughout the spring and summer. At the end of the project, we would love you to bring some of the produce to a special event to show or share.

 

The "Big Sow Harvest" will take place on

Saturday 11th September

at Pett Methodist Church Hall

from 10-30am.

 

Homemade Soup and Rolls will be served from 12 noon.

 

This event will also include the judging of the Sunflower Competition .

 

Entry to this competition costs £1 per entry. To obtain seeds either  e-mail Wendy Hatch or telephone her on 01424 812297. Remember to tell her your name and address, and the number of people in your household who would like to enter.

 

On the 11th September, bring a photograph of your sunflower along with a note of its height. Make sure that the photograph shows something (perhaps yourself) against which your measurement may be verified.
