On Saturday 2nd May Ken & Wendy Hatch are setting off in a 12 year old Fiat (rescued by Ken from a scrap yard for £100) on a car rally to Madrid.

In addition to the challenge of actually getting there the aim is to raise money for the Martha Trust (see www.marthatrust.org.uk). This is a very worthwhile cause providing much needed facilities and support to people who have profound and multiple disabilities in Kent and East Sussex. The aim of the challenge is to get to Madrid, some 1000+ miles by the morning of Tuesday 5th May, re-cycle the car and fly home.

It is now time to pester our friends (and others !) for sponsorship, small or large donations are welcome and we have a website with more information where you can easily donate, namely www.justgiving.com/kenhatch obviously old fashioned money is also very acceptable to Ken & Wendy. A real benefit of the "justgiving" route is that they also recover tax from UK tax payers so Martha Trust receive even more. We aim to raise £1400 so we would appreciate any amount you feel you can afford to sponsor and sincerely thank you for your support.
